An Amlogic S905X2-based (G12A) Android set-top box manufactured by ZTE. It is commonly distributed as an ISP-branded over-the-top (OTT) device, notably by Indonesian ISP IndiHome.
| This article does not cover the ZTE ZXV10 B860H V1/V2, which has a completely different hardware (gxl/S905X). If your device does not have the Android TV marking on the back, it is not a V5. See all versions |
This box runs Android TV 9 to 12. On Android 9 to Android 10 (before 2021 security patch), the secure boot is off. On 2021 security patch onwards, the e-fuse is burned, thus making secure boot permanently on, and USB Download Mode is protected with password.
This guide only applies to boxes with secure boot off. There are no known ways to install to secure boot on boxes as of now.
| WARNING: DO NOT update Android if you want to install Nura, or boot into any custom u-boot/OS. Updating Android will burn an e-fuse on the SoC which will permanently enable secure boot, and blocking unsigned code. |
