Background
| TODO: Find out an information about 'palawan25' |
Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 (SM8635) and Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 (SM7675) are Qualcomm SoCs released in 2024. Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 (SM7675) seems to be just a mid-range underclocked version of Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 (SM8635), which presents itself as more "streamlined" revision of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (SM8650). Internal msm codenames for these platforms are palawan (SM8635) and lamma (SM7675), and HLOS names are cliffs (SM8635) and cliffs7 (SM7675), and both of them belong to pineapple family.

Differences between chipsets
| WARNING: Even though SM8635 and SM7675 are quite similar with SM8650 the mainline kernel fork requires SIGNIFICANT rework! |
Judging by the kernel sources, kernel.org discussions and obtained SoC datasheets, SM8635 and SM7675 (in the future will be addressed as "palawans") are built on Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 (SM7550-AB) SoC base (judging by the main PMIC being "PM7550", which is named "PMXR2230" in the kernel sources and was used in SoCs like SM7550-AB, SM7635(-AC), SM6650 and SXR2230). CPU clusters were taken from Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Adreno GPU is a trimmed version of Snapdragon X Plus (X1-45) one.
On the other hand, differences between palawans themselves are almost 0. Main difference is that SM7675 has lower clock speeds (both CPU and GPU) than SM8635 and has slightly different Last Level Cache Controller (LLCC) setup, with smaller LLCC_ISLAND1 slice than SM8635. Mainline
Lastly these platforms were mentioned in 6.1 Android kernel. In 6.6 Android kernel and newer, all mentions of cliffs / cliffs7 platforms were dropped. Current mainlining is being done by community only so far.
